OBJECTIVES
To learn new techniques and improve on basic skills.
DESCRIPTION
During this two-session course (each session 3 hours), students will learn to use an inkle loom. Inkle loom weaving dates back centuries. In the past it was used for sashes, lashing material, decorative trim, and to produce harnesses for horses and livestock. Modern inkle weaving produces narrow bands that can range from a fraction of an inch to about 4 inches wide. In this class, students will weave a basic patterned dog leash.
