Grand Stitchers is one of the oldest chartered clubs in The Grand - established in 1998.
It is your one stop shop for all fiber arts disciplines.
We do extensive charity work in the local community. Our Caring Quilts program creates quilts for breast cancer surgical patients at Del Webb Hospital. Our K-9 Quilts of Honor provides quilts to the handlers of law enforcement, military and fire service working canines who are retiring or have been lost in the line of duty. Our Community Service program sews twenty-five different handmade items to donate to fifteen charities in the West Valley. Our Cozy Comforts program crochets and knits capelets and lap quilts for Banner Rehabilitation Hospital patients. Our needleworkers participate in the worldwide charitable organization, "Knitted Knockers" making breast cancer prosthetics along with offering trained personnel for private fittings.
Grand Stitchers welcomes all level of fiber artists from beginner/novice to professional. We offer classes in every discipline and have top quality equipment available to our members.
We aren't just creating art; we also have social events every week and regularly take field trips to interesting fiber art locales.
