Community Service

Our mission is to supply quality items to a variety of organizations in the West Valley which service those in need.

 

Community Service has all the supplies needed for our projects - what we need is YOU and your willingness to help. No prior sewing or quilting experience is necessary. We can always find a job for you! All that's required is your willingness to help those in need in the West Valley. Newcomers are welcomed and appreciated. Come for the morning, the afternoon or bring a lunch and stay all day, but come be a part of our group.

Community Service accepts donations of fabric, batting, miscellaneous sewing items and yarn. We also collect new hotel soaps, lotions and shampoo which are given to those serving our country. Please bring donations to the Grand Stitchers room in a bag or box marked Community Service.

The mission of Caring Quilts is to provide beautifully designed, pieced and machine quilted quilts for patients at Banner Del Webb Hospital undergoing treatment for breast cancer and to members of Grand Stitchers with any type of cancer.

All members of Grand Stitchers are welcomed. We have sewing and non-sewing jobs for all skill levels. It is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, socialize and learn new skills. You may bring your own sewing machine or use one of the club machines, provided you have been certified to use them.
